Teleworking

NII Ltd is committed to the principal of working from home and office flexi time. The ability to carry on day to day business anywhere there is a PC and an internet connection has revolutionised the way we work. In an area such as Shetland that suffers all the problems associated with a geographically remote location teleworking offers real potential possibilities for employment growth. The advent of Broadband capabilities in Shetland now offers us a real chance to profit from the upsurge in IT related careers.

How will NII help?

With advice and IT support

What do we get out of it?

NII are considering a range of possible benefits:

  • Any extra jobs that are  created in this way reduces the overall economic downturn and the likelihood of people having to move away. The knock on effects to the Islands support infrastructure, schools, medical facilities etc would likewise see a positive return.
  • NII would be pleased to offer IT support either in home or by assisting in setting up mini offices were possible. Fees for this service would be at our standard IT rates or by negotiation for larger projects

NII Support Details:

  • Membership of the Institute of IT Trainers
  • Learndirect qualified on-line Tutor capability
  • Member of the Telework Association
