Have you checked?

Before calling us have you carried out the following quick checks and procedures?

Symptom - No Power

Is the power socket on at the wall and working? Try plugging something else in if you are not sure.

Have you changed the fuse in the plug for one that works elsewhere  and of a similar rating?

Is there another computer power cable you can swap with?

Symptom - No Monitor picture

Check the cables are all Ok inc the power cable as above.

Is it switched off?

Is the monitor in standby mode? Try moving the mouse

Is the computer on or frozen, try switching it off and on again.

Symptom - Computer will not run up

Power OK?

Is there a floppy disc in the disc drive?

Disconnect any peripherals, Printers etc and remove any USB keys or cables.

Try holding down the F8 key after switch on and running up in safe mode. If this is OK, reboot and try again. If it is OK in safe mode but not in normal mode have you loaded any software or lately. If yes boot into safe mode and uninstall the new software/drivers etc.
